Making a Puppet Costume

By taking this workshop you will give your puppet the finishing touches that will accentuate its character. And idea ‘who’ you like to create? All you have to bring is a good pair of scissors – Supplied are your puppet body, pattern, fabrics, sewing supplies and the use of a sewing machine. We start at 9:00 am sharp!

Host: Ingrid Hamster (Almonte)

Ingrid Hamster is the designer of interpretive characters for the National Art Gallery of Canada, for Puppets Up, International Puppet Festival and dressing puppets for film, theatre and museum exhibits. She was the designer of Costume, Set and Production for New York City’s Teatro SEA for 22 productions. She has been awarded the NY Independent Theatre Artists Award in 2018 and 2020. Her undeniable strength in teaching has been integral to her success. Almonte is her home since 1982.
