Can’t wait until 2024 for the next installment of the Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival? Well you’re in luck, because 2023 marks the debut of PuppetCon by Puppets Up!, presented by Levi Home Hardware Building Centre — a weekend full of hands-on workshops, insightful panel discussions and showcase performances coming to Almonte for the first time August 11 – 13, 2023.

PuppetCon offers a rare peek behind the curtain for puppet enthusiasts and unparalleled access to some of the brightest minds in puppetry. This is a dream outing for emerging puppet artists, experienced creators, and experimental puppet producers who strive to perfect their talent. 

Focusing on both the entertainment value of puppetry and the development of this art, PuppetCon provides hands-on workshops for adults and children, along with select puppet performances.

PuppetCon will become a biennial launching pad for the next generation of Canadian puppet talent while also giving fans and fanatics something to enjoy while they await the return of the larger festival.
