Set on the Canadian prairies in the early 1900’s, we explore the remarkable life of a resilient and tenacious woman, Willow Mae O’Reilly. The magic and wonder of this little girl’s imagination was the seed that germinated into her unconventional life. During her untethered time on the prairies she found her best friend the gopher and her sometime friend the bossy magpie. These childhood spirits followed her throughout her life. Willow Mae did not always take the road most traveled but she was willing to pay the price for her independence…and that price was often very high.
