About Puppets Up!
On August 8 and 9, 2026, beautiful downtown Almonte comes alive as the stage for a magnificent puppet festival, with 13 troupes, 6 theatres, multiple puppet troupes, and over 70 performances plus daily parades, incredible street entertainment, a full marketplace, and a kids’ area with amazing activities and a craft tent. Admission to this festival is by day pass which allows festivalgoers to take in as many shows as they want, as well as participate in all the free stuff.
Adult-only evening shows are on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 at the Almonte Old Town Hall. These tickets must be purchased separately and are not included in the day pass.
The street entertainment, marketplace, and parades are free, kids special activities are by donation, and access to the theatres and puppet shows requires a pass. Pass prices (plus tax and fee) are family-friendly and are available through TicketsPlease.ca. Group sales are available by calling 613-485-6434.
