* waits patiently, while humming a jaunty tune *

Ok, tickets sorted? Good! Let’s move on

Parking

Did you know we’ve got people coming to PuppetCon from as far away as… *checks registration list* … Winnipeg?! Sheesh, they probably aren’t on bike or foot, eh?

Well good news! The good people at the North Lanark Agricultural Society have graciously offered up space at the fairgrounds for us to use as parking!

Now, how do you find said space? Good question! Let’s talk about the…

Site Map

We have one! Look!

Mmm. So map-y.

Like most maps you see these days, up is north (sorry Australia, you got a raw deal on the map bias front).

  • If you’re coming from Ottawa or anywhere else along the 417, you’ll be turning on to Queen Street (which becomes Bridge Street) off of Ottawa Street (which becomes Main Street, sorry, we don’t know why our streets are like this either) near the top of the map.
  • If you’re coming from Carleton Place or points along Highway 7 you’ll turn on to Perth Road off of County Road 29 then veer left on to Bridge Street and enter the map from the bottom.
  • If you’re coming from Almonte… well… we trust you can find the Old Town Hall. It’s the big old-town-hall-looking spot along the river.

Food! Drink! Water!

Good news for everyone that likes our planet! Every single PuppetCon venue has a place to fill your water bottle so don’t forget to bring one!

If you subsist on more than water, you’ll be happy to hear our friends from the Almonte Civitan Club will have a BBQ set up next to the Old Town Hall. Or you can take advantage of one of the many wonderful restaurants and food shops downtown – including our sponsors like The Sterling and Baker Bob’s or the Superior Restaurant, where we’re hosting a workshop!

Things we haven’t thought of yet!

When all else fails, look for our Information Tent outside of the Old Town Hall and ask for Zip-E, our Chief Information Officer. He’s tough to miss, what with being a literal clown.

See you at The Con!
