The music is queued, the lights are lit and we’re ready to meet all of you puppet pals on the streets of Almonte! Can you believe Puppets Up! – Presented by Neilcorp Homes is next weekend?
With just a week to spare, it’s time to make your plan.
Ready? Here we go:
1. Get your day passes
If you haven’t already purchased your day passes, now is the time! Buy online today and save yourself the hassle of lining up to pay onsite. Passes are still being discounted thanks to our generous funders and donors so get over to Tickets Please and get your pass now! Pass holders get first dibs on access to our theatre shows and free access to the kid’s craft tent (single show tickets will be sold just prior to the show, and only if there’s space, and donations are being accepted from those without passes at the craft tent).
2. Assemble your crew
Puppets Up! is more fun with friends and family. Send this email to folks that you know would enjoy world-class puppet artistry and family-friendly entertainment then make a plan to meet up in Almonte to make memories that will last a lifetime.
3. Schedule your day
There’s so much to see and do, you’ll need a plan!
- Check out the festival program and take note of the shows you don’t want to miss.
- Then consult the map so you know where you’re going! You’ll want to get to the venue a few minutes before the show starts to get your place in line.
- Make sure you leave time for all of the extras too! The parade on Saturday and Sunday; the street entertainment; the food court and marketplace… there’s so much to do!
- And don’t forget, just because we’re not on Mill Street this year doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be! The shops and restaurants on our lovely main drag are still open and they could use your support during this stretch of construction.
4. Start getting pumped
You don’t have to wait until the festival to enjoy puppet-themed entertainment. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for exclusive content and behind-the-scenes insight as we get set up. And make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to see all of our video content!
